How permanent is permanent makeup?
The ink used in permanent makeup is not as permanent as bodyart ink, and this is intentional. As we age our look, style, and skin changes. Permanent Makeup needs to be renewed every few years, and the ink we use is designed with this in mind. Lips, filled eyebrows, and areolas typically need a touch-up after 2 years. Microblading hairstroke eyebrows may need a touch-up after one year due to the fine nature of the lines.
One exception is eyeliner. I can create a timeless look that clients enjoy for many years, and I often use black bodyart ink to have more permanence. Permanent eyeliner typically lasts more than 5 years before needing a touch-up.
